Q: Do I need a ticket or do I have to pay to go to watch the matches at the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships
A: From Friday, July 28 to Wednesday, August 2 you don’t need a ticket but you will need to pay a processing fee per day (€4) for a wristband with a cashless payment function. In the second week of the tournament, from Thursday, August 3 on, the Youth and Leisure Fair starts and the purchase of a Beach Island Pass includes not only free entry to the fair, but also access to the event venue and to the Beach Village, where public viewing, music and entertainment is available during the day and evenings.
Q: How can I pay?
A: Through our ticket partner wien-ticket.at. Once on their website you will have the opportunity to browse all of the available categories on the day(s) of your choosing. You can purchase them directly via wien-ticket.at. You have the option to print your passes at home, get them sent to your address or pick them up from a recognized Wien-Ticket Center agency. More details can be found here.
Subject to availability, passes will also be available on each day of the tournament.
Q: Is seating to watch the action on the Center Court guaranteed?
A: Unfortunately not. Access to the venue with a Beach ID or Beach Island Pass does not guarantee you a spot on Center Court. For fans holding these passes, seats will be available on a first come, first served basis. If there is no room on Center Court, fans can watch the action on the big screens in the Beach Village.
Q: I would like to watch the medal matches on the final two days of the tournament – can I guarantee a seat for these games?
A: Absolutely. To ensure you don’t miss the all-important medal matches, you can purchase passes specifically for Saturday, August 5 and/or Sunday August 6 that will guarantee you a seat for the bronze and gold medal matches on these days.
Q: I am interested in taking my family with me – are passes for families available?
A: Of course. A family package is available for both weeks of the tournament and ensures that two adults and two children (aged 6-14) can enter the venue. In the first week, the family pass starts from €10 and the second week €34. Furthermore, children under the age of six are entitled to free entry when accompanied by an adult.
Q: What other savings could I make during the course of the tournament?
A: A weekend Beach Island Pass is available for €45. This pass covers four days of the action, between August 3-6, and would save you almost €20 if you bought a pass on a daily basis during this time. Also, booking in advance online before the tournament start can save you money.
Q: Will VIP and hospitality packages be available?
A: Yes, and you can find out all of the options, benefits and prices by clicking here.
Q: I’m not from Vienna but I’m interested in staying in the area during the tournament. Do you have a combined ticket and hotel offer?
A: If you book a room with our hotel partner, Austria Trend Hotels, you have the opportunity to receive discounts on passes and VIP packages. For more information please visit the Austria Trend Hotels website for full details.
